Sometimes motivation follows action...

I love quotes. Concise words that speak volumes. They are thought provoking, and command feelings. They can change your attitude in a matter of seconds and bring some perspective. I have them in frames throughout my house, to remind me of the importance of the big picture. It is easy to get caught up in the small things that at the end of the day really don't matter, but can easily suck up your energy and positive mindset. One of my new favorites is one a few people have shared with me since Gavin's diagnosis.

"You are the embodiment of the information you choose to accept and act upon.
To change your circumstances
you need to change your thinking and subsequent actions."

-Adlin Sinclair-

I live my day through this quote. It is easy to turn your head and not deal with those very deep emotional, sad feelings. I think there are two ways in which hardship can be dealt. Don't get out of bed, and pretend the world is not waiting for you to make your move. Or, do something about it.

Accept it, act upon it, and take action.

We, as a family have chosen the latter. It sounds cliche, but it has made all the difference.
