Hands Down Monkey

I'm not God, nor am I a doctor or research scientist. I cannot fix my sons vision problems. All we can do as Gavin's parents are raise awareness, raise money and promote research.

This is another of our attempts to raise awareness. It's not finished, and is in its beginning stage. Take a peek, and check back for new items. Promoting braille literacy is another one of our areas we will be focusing in on. I believe it opens doors to having a visually impaired individual become more independent.

I will post when new items are updated.

Enjoy!

  1. handsdownmonkey is a cool website. You have quite a few images though that don't have alt text. Without alt text a screen readers user like me doesn't know what the images are. Adding the alt text is pretty easy. I'll promote the website as much as I can.

  2. Thank you Alena! I'm hoping we can have some products up shortly -- We will work out the kinks and get it accessible for screen readers, we just discussed this recently, and hopefully it's all worked out soon. Thanks for your comment. ;) I love following your posts.

  3. We are big supporters of braille literacy. It was one of the first questions I asked when our daughter was going to receive services for the blind.
    Great website!
